On Ambition and Dreams

You walk into college to walk out some day a wise man. To be a man who knows what he wants from the world.

The object of education has always been spiritual. The understanding of a subject has always governed your understanding of yourself and the world around you.

Education has taught you to value yourself. The value of an education is not measured by what the world offers you once you graduate. Nor is it measured in the contribution you can make in the world as a result of your education. The value is intrinsic. The value of education is not in the job you get after graduating. It is in the value you give yourself after graduating. To view education in a utilitarian light, is to miss the point of your education. The value of an education is in education itself.
